GRNSW is an independent body charged by the Greyhound Racing Act 2002 to represent, fund and control the commercial operations of the greyhound racing industry in this state.
We were created with the express purpose of enabling the greyhound racing industry to take charge of its own affairs free of government intervention except on strictly regulatory matters that stay with the Greyhound and Harness Racing Regulatory Authority (GHRRA).
The members of our Board were appointed from all sectors of the industry (GBOTA, NCA, TAB, Non-TAB, Country and Non-affiliated). The Board in turn appointed an independent Chair from outside the industry. |
