    Earlier this week, an animal rights charity, Aussie Farms released an interactive map listing locations of hundreds of Australian farms, slaughterhouses and other facilities in an unprecedented and deeply concerning move purportedly in the name of animal welfare. The Map was launched publically in January 2019 across social media and is linked with the Aussie Farms Repository. Included in the details released by Aussie Farms were the addresses and other details of approximately 220 facilities across Australia associated with greyhound racing.

    GRNSW is pleased to announce that the independent assessment of the safety of the Lismore Greyhound Racing Track has now been completed and that the track will re-open for trialling and racing from Wednesday, 23 January 2019. This follows the closure of the Lismore track on 17 January 2019 as a result of unacceptably high levels of major injuries and fatalities over the past 12 months.
