Masters Grading Guidelines

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) has introduced a new Masters racing category for any greyhound aged 3 ¾ years (45 months) and over.

The online calendar has been updated to highlight these Masters events.

Masters Grading has been integrated into the OzChase system and as a result any eligible greyhound participating in a Masters race will have a new Masters grade assigned to them.

Masters prizemoney is equivalent to the 5th grade level at the category of meeting that the Masters event is being held at.

For example, if the Masters event is held at a Category B race meeting, first place will be $1080, whilst at a Category C race meeting, first place will be $540.

Greyhounds will be drawn on a Masters Grade/Pointscore basis. Stakes can contain M1/M2/M3 grades combined. Up to two Masters events will be run based on flow of nominations

The introduction of Masters racing is a direct result of the consultation forums GRNSW conducted with industry participants and stakeholders across NSW.
