GRNSW RELEASES 2020/21 RACE DATES
Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) has today released the race dates for the 2020/21 racing year.
A draft calendar was released to the industry in late April for feedback, and following that consultation period, GRNSW is now able to release the completed calendar of race dates.
Among the significant changes in 2020/21 will see Maitland move from their Thursday night slot to now race on Monday evenings, while the Bulli club will now race on Tuesday nights.
Casino has moved from Friday afternoon, to now race during the day in winter and in a twilight slot during the warmer months, on Thursdays. Gunnedah also moves to a Thursday twilight timeslot.
The Nowra club has 36 Sunday slots, combined with 12 slots on a Saturday night.
“As the case is each year, the race dates calendar is a work in progress, and is, as always, subject to ongoing review,” GRNSW Chief Operating Officer Wayne Billett said.
“We went through an exhaustive process before putting the calendar together, and again sought feedback from clubs and participants before releasing it.
“A main objective with the new calendar and the changes which have been made, is so we can best maximise wagering outcomes, and also help improve the nomination flow in different regions.”
