Northern Rivers star Rapid Lulu is poised to make a powerful statement at the Mid North Coast Club’s highly anticipated Sire On Ice – Beast Unleashed final this Wednesday night at Taree, as she takes full advantage of the rails draw in the 526m sprint.
Trainer David Richardson, who has seen Rapid Lulu develop into a formidable contender, is confident that the promising greyhound will give a strong performance.
“We’re hoping to keep our 50-plus strike rate intact on Wednesday night,” Richardson said.
“Lulu pulled up really well, she’s only lightly raced, but has a tremendous future ahead of her. We decided to hold her back from last week’s Wauchope Cup to focus on this bitches-only race, and we’re excited for what she can achieve in the final.”
The Sire On Ice – Beast Unleashed final will take place as part of a gala meeting sponsored by the esteemed Tony Wiseman of Sire On Ice, whose sponsorship plays a vital role in the continued success of greyhound racing on the Mid North Coast.
Tony Wiseman, whose popular stud dogs have made waves in the industry, has been a long-time supporter of local breeders.
“I’m proud to sponsor this event and support the Mid North Coast’s greyhound racing community,” Wiseman said.
“As a sponsor, I like to give back to the industry and do what I can to help breeders and trainers in the region. Each winner on the night will receive a free service to one of my highly sought-after stud dogs."
There will plenty to do and win, the Equip Loans pick 8 – for $8,888 is free to enter as is the admission to the track and there are 20 seafood raffle trays courtesy of McLeans Oysters and Seafood to be won.
