It was already going to be the most nostalgic night the sport has witnessed, but now the final night of racing at Sydney’s Wentworth Park will be the most spectacular and most watched in greyhound racing’s 99-year history in NSW.

The Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Board on Tuesday night approved a proposal from the NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association (GBOTA) to fund and operate the Wagga Wagga Greyhound Racing Club.
It will be the biggest night on a NSW greyhound racetrack in the history of the sport when the nostalgic curtain falls on Wentworth Park after 94 years. But that final race meeting on October 16 will also be one of the best nights of racing headquarters has ever seen.

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Chair Adam Casselden has declared the sport’s involvement with the annual National Bush Summit a great success and “something we should have been doing years ago.”
