Barcia Bale youngster Little Jeaney steps out for her third race start at Wagga on Friday, and it may be opportunity rather than ability that protects her unbeaten record.
Prepared by Greg McKinnon at Temora, Little Jeaney made her debut at Wagga on October 15 and, after holding a three-panels advantage mid-race, held on to score by three-quarters of a length from Phoenix Izmir in 18.58.
The all-the-way offering from box one was a little different to her 18.44 effort seven days later.
First up, Little Jeaney quickly led yet was then outpaced last time (from box 3) but rallied to score by a neat length.
For start three, she moves to box eight – a new experience – which, combined with a rise in class, can be problematic.

Little Jeaney will attract serious attention from punters yet Phoenix Izmir (Box 6) is again in the reckoning while Zipping Gweneth (Box 5) – a recent addition to the Rod Oakman kennel – resumes from a break.
Zipping Gweneth won at her debut at Richmond over 330m and must be respected.
Later, the evening’s top-grade sprint – Race 10, a Free For All over 400m – is an open affair.

Jack and Lorraine Roy have three engaged with Logical Chance drawn to get all the favours from box one. In seven starts at Wagga over 400m, Logical Chance has prevailed only once, but she’s a force to be reckoned with from the rails alley.
Her 10 starts from box one have returned four wins and five placings yet her sole win at the trip – in a fast 22.75 - came from box three.
The first of 11 races at Wagga kicks off at 5.20pm.
