GRNSW Partners with VetChat to Provide 24/7 Veterinary Advice

In its ongoing commitment to world-leading greyhound welfare, Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) has announced an innovative partnership with Australian veterinary telehealth provider VetChat.
The partnership will give NSW greyhound racing participants access to trusted veterinary advice 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Supporting Better Greyhound Welfare Through Veterinary Telehealth

Founded by an Australian veterinarian in 2017, VetChat was created to make experienced veterinary advice more accessible—regardless of a carer’s location, circumstances or the time of day.
The veterinary telehealth platform connects animal carers with Australian-registered veterinarians within minutes. Through VetChat’s tele-triage service, participants can describe or show a greyhound’s condition and receive clear guidance about the appropriate next steps.
This may include safely managing the issue at home until their regular veterinarian opens or seeking immediate treatment from a local veterinary clinic.
Fast access to professional veterinary advice can support early intervention and prevention, helping to deliver better animal welfare outcomes for greyhounds across NSW.

Access 24/7 Veterinary Advice from 1 July

From 1 July, NSW greyhound racing participants can contact VetChat through a dedicated phone number at any time of the day or night.

GRNSW participants can contact VetChat on (02) 5944 5291.
