Screaming Violet was pushed out of contention soon after the start when she finished down the course at her only Wentworth Park appearance but the outstanding provincial sprinter is set to make amends after drawing box one there on Saturday night.
A winner of her past four appearances at Gosford and Richmond, Screaming Violet will contest the Mudgee UC Repair Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.
An unexpected error occurred.
Trainer Greg Sutherland said: "She had never seen Wentworth Park before she raced there on October 13 but that wasn't what brought her undone.
"Screaming Violet had box six and the greyhound in seven veered left as they jumped causing my bitch to lose momentum, which resulted in another dog jumping on her back as they got to the first turn.
"I then took Screaming Violet to Richmond and she led all the way from box two in the best time of the night.
"To make sure she felt comfortable being back at Wentworth Park again I gave Screaming Violet a box-to-box trial there on Monday night and she went very well.''
Another greyhound expected to win on Saturday night after drawing box one is Devious, in the NSW GBOTA Welcome Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.
An unexpected error occurred.
Devious won from box four in a handy 30sec at Wentworth Park on September 26 and chased home Mr Peregrine there, after drawing box three, on October 19.
In that race Devious was checked early and finished fast after being a distant fourth on the back straight.
At his only outing wearing the red rug Devious won over 520m at Dapto in a smart 29.97.
Trainer Mick Hardman said: "Devious is desperate for box one so I expect him to run a big race on Saturday.
"From the rails alley I believe he is capable of getting down to around 29.80 on Saturday night, though I don't think he can go any faster.''
Trainer David Smith has a busy night ahead, bringing eight of his team to Wentworth Park.
Smith believes Classic Story, who makes his Wentworth Park debut in from box seven in the Equalizer @ Stud Stakes, a 520m fifth grade, is his best chance.
An unexpected error occurred.
Classic Story is one of several siblings by Aston Rupee from Ice Cream Story, a bitch who won 15 races for Smith with a personal best Wentworth Park time of a sizzling 29.55.
"When their careers began, Classic Story was the slowest in the litter, but now he is the best,'' Smith said.
"He has won four from six starts and clocked 26.21 over 457m at Bulli on October 1."
"While Classic Story has not raced at Wentworth Park he trialled well there on Monday night, clocking 29.93 for the 520m.
"Of my other runners on Saturday, Witty Ethics who is in race one trialled 30.25 on Monday while Aussie Ethics, in race eight, trialled 30.20.
"Cool Story, who won over 472m at Bulli at his last start in a fast 26.20, has had a box to box trial at Wenty.''
Cool Story will exit box seven in the Ladbrokes Fast Withdrawals Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.

Bandit Daryl should only need to reproduce his strong finishing third in the group 2 Farrell's Sydney Cup to win Saturday's 720m event, the fifth grade Ladbrokes Sports Bar Stakes.
An unexpected error occurred.
Bandit Daryl chased home crack stayers Exploded and Ella's Babe in the 720m Cup final on October 18, winding up just two lengths behind the winner.
