Today, with the rest of the world, Greyhound Racing NSW celebrates, International Women’s Day, 2025.
Women play a huge role in our organisation accounting for more than 50% of total staff, and women also a big role in our industry with continued growth of female participants.
On Thursday staff at GRNSW - led by Deputy Chair Rebekah Giles and fellow Board member Louise Wakefield - gathered to celebrate the women in the organisation and speak about this year’s theme of International Women’s Day, Accelerate Action for Gender Equality.
In recent weeks GRNSW formed a Young Participants Advisory Panel to focus on the needs and ideas of the industry’s next generation. Among the Panel members are some of our finest young women, and to coincide with International Women’s Day, we spoke to each of the women about the acceleration of their careers in greyhound racing.
