Talk About It, who has won brilliantly at his past two Wentworth Park appearances, will be on trial for a start in the March 29 heats of the group one Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg when he contests a 520m fourth and fifth grade at headquarters on Thursday night.
A winner of four from five outings wearing the red rug, Talk About It will exit his favourite box on Thursday.
Talk About It led throughout in a personal best 29.57 at WP on March 1 but trainer Kristy Sultana said: "My only concern is he is not always the best of beginners.
"But he has been getting away a bit better lately so I'm hoping he can nail the start on Thursday.
An unexpected error occurred.
"I'm thinking about a Golden Easter Egg start for him but that will depend on how he goes this week.''
Sultana would be especially pleased to have the talented Talk About It in the Golden Easter Egg as he is a son of her former champion sprinter and now successful sire, Flying Ricciardo.
Robert Smith Memorial placegetter Red Rock Ripper was a fading fourth at his WP debut last week but trainer John Grief is hoping the run on the track will improve him sufficiently for him to win Thursday's Ladbrokes Blackbook 520m fifth grade.
"Red Rock Ripper had not seen WP before last Thursday as while I had intended to trial him there on the previous Saturday night but there were no slots available,'' Grief said.
"Under the circumstances I was not surprised Red Rock Ripper got tunnel vision down the back straight last week but what did please me was that he handled the tricky Wenty boxes capably considering it was his first go there.''
Dual Million Dollar Chase winning trainer Peter Lagogiane has four strong chances at WP on Thursday, with Mr Nicko in box one in race three, Unleash Jodi in eight in race five, Summer Quinn with the same draw in race six and Cool Junior to exit box six in race nine.
"Mr Nicko is perfectly boxed because every time he goes around he rails like a bird,'' Lagogiane said.
"He had box six when he was run down by a particularly strong dog in Zipping Zodiac at WP last Thursday and as it poured rain just before the race he did well to only get pipped on the post.
"I prefer Unleash Jodi from an inside box but she has plenty of ability and if she can find the lead she will be hard to catch.
"Summer Quinn is very strong and I was surprised she was unable to run down Ferrero Girl when she finished second at her first WP race last Saturday, especially as she previously had a post-to-post slip and a box-to-box trial on the track.
"Cool Junior wants inside and has drawn six but he has a vacant box on his left and while he has not been finishing strongly in three races at WP he seems to be in a suitable race.
"Jorja Howard, who handles my dogs on race night, reckons this race is Cool Junior's best chance yet for a WP win.''
Zipping Brando has won just once in 15 WP starts but looks a great value bet for new trainer Frances Goodwin in Thursday's 10th race, the 520m Ladbrokes Bet Ticker Stakes.
Goodwin, who won the Nowra trainers' premiership for the third time in 2024, bought Zipping Brando and Zipping Trucker in an inexpensive package deal from owner-breeder Marty Hallinan just over three weeks ago.
An unexpected error occurred.
Zipping Brando was a good fourth from box two in a much harder race at WP last Saturday night, with his effort particularly meritorious as he was hampered by a wide runner soon after the start.
Thursday's looks to be the weakest race Zipping Brando has contested at WP, and he has a great draw, with slow beginner We'll See in box one and Donna Maree, an extremely wide runner, in box three.
