Blazing Raso, bought for only $4,500 after being educated, lifted her earnings to nearly $54,000 after scoring her 16th win on Saturday night at Wentworth Park.
Trained and part-owned by Blake Moroney, Blazing Raso put a luckless Victorian campaign behind her in clocking a personal best 29.73 in the 520m fifth grade.
"I had sent Blazing Raso to Jessica Hopkins in Melbourne, who won Saturday's Melbourne Cup with Canya Mayhem, because I thought she would be better suited over 600m at The Meadows and 595m at Sandown,'' Moroney said.
"But she came in season as soon as she got there and then tore the webbing on a foot.
"She did manage to run three seconds over 515m at Sandown and 525m at The Meadows but didn't get a chance to have a crack at the longer races.
"Jessica felt Blazing Raso would be happier back home with me so she returned to my kennels and finished second for me first-up at Wentworth Park last week before winning tonight.
"Blazing Raso goes back and forth in the starting boxes as the lure approaches so she must have lunged forward just as the lids lifted tonight because she came out running.
"She has a flat spot in the middle stages and was headed by Reece Unleashed, but she is very strong and came home too well.
"Me and two of my mates, who had never previously owned a greyhound, bought Blazing Raso for just $1,500 each and she also has terrific value as a brood bitch because she is a litter brother to Canya All Class.
"That dog is trained by Jessica Hopkins and he has won 20 races and nearly $250,000 prizemoney.''
Back Tomorrow will target the National Futurity series at Wentworth Park in January after taking her tally at the group one classic venue to five wins from 10 appearances on Saturday night.
Back Tomorrow began briliantly from box one and took out a 520m fourth and fifth grade in a personal best 29.54.
Trainer Minnie Finn said: "I was really pleased how well she got to the line tonight, she ran home more strongly than ever so the Futurity will be her goal.''
Also eligible for the age restricted Futurity heats on January 17 is the Sam Sultana-trained Joanne, who won in a personal best 29.42 in fifth grade class on Saturday.
Joanne had jumped in front when she clocked her previous best Wentworth Park figures of 29.52 on November 1, and she nailed the start again on Saturday to hold out favourite Magic Bandit in the run to the first turn.
Time honours on Saturday went to Andrew Rowe's Taw Galaxy, with the Goulburn Cup winner leading throughout to win the top grade 520m event in a scorching 29.37.
Taw Galaxy jumped cleanly from box four while My Pharaoh, who was well backed to beat him, missed the kick from box two before rattling home to finish second, just over a length from the winner.
Biggest improver on Saturday night was the Ben Izzard-owned and trained Zipping Bop, who wasn't headed in landing the opening race, a 520m fifth grade, in a slick 29.67.
It was Zipping Bop's first Wentworth Park success and she broke 30sec for the first time at Wentworth Park after being placed in three of 13 previous outings at headquarters.
