All Heart - All Ready

Wyndra All Heart has been runner-up in his past four Wentworth Park appearances but trainer Mark Gatt is confident the dog can notch his second success at the track on Thursday night.

Wyndra All Heart has box five in the 520m Ladbrokes Fast Payouts 1 Win fifth grade and Gatt believes this is the ideal race for his dog.

"I reckon he is the best chance of my runners at Wentworth Park on Thursday night because he is racing well, there are only six starters, and while he has drawn box five he has a vacant box on his outside,'' Gatt said.

Wyndra All Heart has a huge advantage over his rivals on Thursday as he has done all his racing at Wentworth Park - registering a win and six placings from nine outings - while his only opponents to have raced there are Saja Boy, who has had a win and two seconds from five races, and Chantane, whose only appearance was over 720m when she finished a distant second.

Mark Gatt concedes Ritza Tiana's time was moderate but he was pleased with the way she won when she made a successful race debut on November 13.

Ritza Tiana has box two in Thursday's 520m Ladbrokes Blackbook 1 Win fifth grade, after bungling the start from box eight and finishing fast to narrowly win her maiden in 30.28.

"Before that maiden race Ritza Tiana had not been trialling all that well which is why her race debut was delayed until last month,'' Gatt said.

"Although her winning time was ordinary she showed plenty of 'ticker' to get up and win after coming from so far back.

"She got off the track a bit but I think she will handle box two okay on Thursday.''

Ritza Tears, a litter brother to Ritza Tiana, has won three from five Wentworth Park starts but Gatt concedes he faces a tough task in Thursday's The Lids Fly on Ladbrokes Live Channels 520m fifth grade.

"Ritza Tears has box six but there is a stack of early pace in this race, greyhounds like Overflow Jenny, Big Bernie, Warren's Ledger and Texas Bandit all have heaps of speed from the boxes to the first corner,'' Gatt said.

Spring Steffi posted a sizzling first split of 5.38 in her long priced all the way win at Wentworth Park last Thursday night and although she was sent out at $13 trainer Scott Board was not surprised at how well she went.

Spring Steffi will make her second Wentworth Park appearance in Thursday night's The Festivus Cup heat one, a 520m fifth grade, and Board gives her a good chance again.

"She has always been able to run but just needs to get a bit stronger at the end of 520m, although she should acquire more stamina with a few more runs,'' Board said.

"Spring Steffi clocked a fast 19.69 over 350m at Goulburn in August and before her Wentworth Park debut last week I trialled her there and she recorded 30.08, with a first sectional time of 5.45.

"Because the track had been turned over earlier in the week I was worried as to how well she would find the line last Thursday so was happy with how she did the job.''

Pepe Morada, who led throughout to win at her 720m debut at Wentworth Park last week, scoring by 19 lengths in a fast 41.77, will be at long odds-on in Thursday night's 720m Ladbrokes Mates Mode Pots fifth grade.

So best bet at reasonable odds looms as Classy Bandit, who has box four in heat three of the 520m The Festivus Cup fifth grade.

Classy Bandit overcame a poor start to win in a sizzling 29.55 from box eight at Wentworth Park on November 27 and raced in the centre of the track, so should not be troubled by her middle draw this week.

Good value on Thursday should be Goofy Ethics, who has box five in heat two of the The Festivus Cup.

Goofy Ethics ran the race of his life when second to Texas Bandit at Wentworth Park last Saturday night after being beaten in a photo finish by Burnside Bookie at his only previous outing there in October.
