Extreme Weather Monitoring

GRNSW News
Greyhound Racing NSW advises participants that we are closely monitoring the current extreme weather conditions forecast across the state over the next seven days.

In response to the forecast conditions, GRNSW will continue to assess and, where necessary, adjust race meeting timeslots to avoid periods of extreme weather.

All race meetings are conducted in conjunction with the GWIC Race Day Hydration and Hot Weather Policy. These measures are considered to mitigate risk while maintaining continuity of racing where it is safe and appropriate to do so.

GRNSW confirms the welfare of greyhounds always remains our highest priority. Any amendment to the racing schedule and the race time slots will support racing to continue and as a result to return prizemoney to the industry and participants, while ensuring that all decisions are made responsibly.

GRNSW will endeavour to make and communicate decisions as early as possible to provide participants with certainty and adequate notice.
