Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) is announcing today it will no longer be proceeding with the purchase of the proposed site for a new track in Tamworth.
In 2023 GRNSW entered into a Call to Option with Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW) for land on Burgmann’s Lane on the outskirts of Tamworth, however the organisation has been informed that HRNSW will not be proceeding with the sale of the land.
With its strong roots in the sport, GRNSW remains totally committed to racing in the New England area and will continue to look for alternative potential sites in the region for racing.
HRNSW have refunded GRNSW the deposit which was paid for the property.
