Powerful finisher Shaq Keeping sat right behind Canya Handle It when he was run down at Wentworth Park last Saturday night but he should lead all the way there this week.
Canya Handle It has box one for only the second time in 35 appearances in the Harold Buttsworth Memorial, a 520m fifth grade.
His trainer Joe McFadyen said: "Shaq Keeping was the only dog I didn't want to see sitting behind Canya Handle It last week so when he was beaten just over a length and still clocked 29.56, not far outside his best Wenty time, I was happy with his run.
"Because he is such a good beginner and keen chaser I don't think boxes matter much to Canya Handle It but it is always nice to come up with the rails.
"His kennelmate Tenacious Talker is resuming from a spell in the same race but she could be one run short of her peak.''
Tenacious Talker has box five and is awkwardly placed outside the wide running Gudrid in box four.
Leading trainer Minnie Finn has 50 per cent of the field in Saturday night's 520m fifth grade Ronald Best Memorial and she nominated Winsome Rambo, who has box six, as her best chance.
In the same race Finn has litter sisters Before The Dawn in box one and Back Tomorrow in four along with Winsome Josie in box seven.
"Winsome Rambo probably has a good chance of being the pacemaker so if I was having a bet I would have something on him,'' Finn said.
"I would be plumping for Winsome Josie if she had drawn an inside box but she is not well positioned in seven.
"Before The Dawn and Back Tomorrow have won 13 Wentworth Park races between them but I was disappointed at their only Wentworth Park runs since they returned from campaigning in Queensland.''
Dark Noise has won only two of 11 Wentworth Park outings but she is boxed to win Saturday's Russell Westerweller Memorial 520m fifth grade.
Dark Noise was a $1.80 favourite when sixth from box eight at her most recent Wentworth Park appearance on July 11 but has since defeated prolific winner Best Surprise in smart time over 440m at Goulburn.
Denice Warren, trainer of Dark Noise, said: "She is not the most reliable greyhound I have trained but if she begins cleanly and can hold her position going to the first turn, this looks a good race for her.''
Dark Noise has box one and from the two inside alleys she has won four of her eight appearances.
Saturday's Wenty Leagues 1-3 win final is an intriguing affair with fastest heat winner Zipping Ruger out in box eight.
Jason Magri's exciting prospect has scored three wins and a second from his past four Wentworth Park starts and led all the way from box four to win his heat by six lengths in 29.30.
Although he is a good railer, Zipping Ruger can handle a wide draw and came from box seven to win at Wentworth Park in 29.60 on June 15.
His hardest opponents on Saturday look to be Notts County, who won his heat from box one in fast 29.44, and Stop And Stare, beaten six lengths by Zipping Rugger but a dog with a strong finishing burst sitting up in box one.
Notts County is awkwardly positioned in box four while Stop And Stare is well placed but tends to be a slow beginner.
