None of Bentley Red's rivals at Wentworth Park on Thursday night has come within .15sec of his times in his past two wins and the Peter Lagogiane trained speedster looks set to lead all the way.
Bentley Red has box five in the 520m fifth grade Eileen Harmer Memorial after clocking 29.62 leading throughout from box three at Wentworth Park on August 20 and trimming those figures down to 29.53 after grabbing the lead going through the pen there last Saturday.
Bentley Red tends to race in the middle of the track so should only need to begin with his customary dash to make full use of his box five draw.
Another greyhound who can win from box five on Thursday is Zhang, who will wear the yellow jacket in the 520m fifth grade John Varley Memorial.
Zhang, one of a large team being raced by group one winning jockey Tyler Schiller, won from box three in 29.66 at Wentworth Park on August 20 before finishing third to Jock From Ibrox after jumping from box four last Thursday.
Zhang's trainer Andrew Crouch said: "I think box five is perfect for him because he tends to drift up the track in the run to the first turn.”
"This dog has always been able to run but early in his career he wasn't putting it all together consistently.”
"He has been doing that lately, so I think he has a bright future.''
Here No Cash led early when fourth to Bentley Red in a fast 29.53 at Wentworth Park last Saturday and made the pace to the home turn when second to Winsome Jumbo in 29.67 there on August 20.
She has a great chance of breaking through for her first city win in Thursday's Leonard Herbert Memorial, a 520m fifth grade.
Trainer Jorja-Louise Howard said "Here No Cash should keep improving because when she was run down by Winsome Jumbo she was tackling 520m for the first time.”
"She possesses good early burn and is feeling really well at the moment.”
Ritza Ollie, a litter brother to Peter Mosman Opal winner Ritza Sophie, makes his belated racetrack debut in Thursday night's 520m Wenty Leagues Maiden.
Trainer Mark Gatt said "While Ritza Sophie has won seven of 11 Wentworth Park appearances, her brother Ritza Ollie got a long way behind her after breaking a metacarpal bone.''
Mark Gatt is upbeat about the chances of Ritza Tiana, who is seeking her 11th Wentworth Park victory in 20 appearances in Thursday's fourth grade Mark Hughes Foundation Stakes, 520m.
Ritza Tiana is not badly drawn in box six as box five is vacant, Magical Ang in four is speedy and is a good railer, and Winsome Storm, box seven, is a slow beginner who lacks early speed.
"Ritza Tiana went off the boil at the end of July, so I gave her a couple of weeks off and a trial or two at Bulli and she has come good all over again.'' Mark Gatt said.
Six-year-old Speedy Flash Two is the veteran of the lineup in Thursday's Rita Nye Memorial Masters, 520m, but could be ready to cause an upset.
Speedy Flash Two was having her first 520m test in four months when a luckless third to Soul Panoramic and Long Island Blue at Wentworth Park on August 6 and should be improved.
She looked a strong winning chance when she joined the leaders at the top of the straight but collided and did well to finish third, three lengths behind the winner.
Thursday's Bloompark Project Management 1000 Stakes has attracted a "red hot" fifth grade lineup to battle over 520m.
