2022 (September) - McInerney
A history-making win that meant far more than the result. In 2022, McInerney delivered a memorable Million Dollar Chase victory at Wentworth Park, becoming the first Victorian-trained greyhound to win the event. For owner and breeder Noel Mugavin and the team behind McInerney, it was an especially meaningful moment during a deeply personal time for the family. On the track, McInerney produced a finish worthy of the occasion, holding on in a thrilling final to create his own piece of Wentworth Park history. It’s moments like these that have made the Million Dollar Chase about more than racing alone, the dogs, the people behind them, and the stories that stay with us long after the finish.
