The countdown to the 2026 Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase is on! To celebrate, the GRNSW team have created a series of videos honouring the greyhounds who have taken the win across the past eight Million Dollar Chases. It’s a trip down memory lane, celebrating the champions, the moments and the memories that have made the Million Dollar Chase what it is today.
2023 - Jay Is Jay
Sometimes, a win carries generations with it.
Jay Is Jay was named in honour of Selena Zammit’s late father, Jeff Jones - a man whose life was deeply connected to greyhound racing.
His dam, Kealoah, was the final greyhound Jeff ever trained. Years later, her son would arrive at Wentworth Park and create a moment the family would never forget.
In 2023, Jay Is Jay raced his way to victory in the Million Dollar Chase, becoming the first Queensland greyhound to win the event
For Selena, husband Michael and their family, it was more than a breakthrough for Queensland.
