Greyhound Racing NSW has partnered with the Mark Hughes Foundation through 2026, and the campaign runs across the state through November. More than $38,000 has already been raised, including over $35,000 from the memorabilia auctions held on the final night of racing at Wentworth Park.

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Chief Executive Officer Steve Griffin has today confirmed that work on the new Lithgow greyhound track is complete, with trials commencing next week and racing set to return to the Central West on November 2, as scheduled, ending a four-year absence of local racing following the closure of Bathurst in 2022.
Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) has serious concerns regarding the timing and nature of a media release issued yesterday by the NSW Greyhound Breeders Trainers & Owners Association (GBOTA) suggesting that they have plans to build a new metropolitan Racing Precinct in Western Sydney.
Following an extensive assessment of potential sites located in Western Sydney, today Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) is announcing that the existing Richmond Club site has been selected as the site for the new Sydney Metropolitan Racing Precinct (SMRP) to replace Wentworth Park, which will host its final race meeting on Friday, October 16.
