She Is Fire, who took out the 660m Grafton Stayers' Cup at her last start, showed she is ready for her Wentworth Park 720m debut with a slick trial there on Monday night.

Trainer Mark Moroney made the trek from Grafton to Wentworth Park and put She Is Fire over 720m to prepare her for Saturday night's non-grade long-distance event over the same trip.

"She clocked 42.13 after posting a fast initial split of 15.98, so I was very happy with those times,'' Moroney said.

Considering the Wentworth Park 280m record stands at Laurie's Flyer's 15.72, She Is Fire can be expected to lead for a long way against a field of stayers on Saturday.

Moroney added: "She Is Fire has box seven on Saturday and that draw is close to ideal for her because when she draws an inside box she wants to move up the track.

"Her Grafton Cup win was a ripper because they headed her near the home turn but she came again to win running away.

"She Is Fire doesn't like being challenged, she seems to step up a notch when they come at her.

"Originally I wasn't going to bring her to Wenty until next week but when I saw that Palawa King had a sore leg and was temporarily out of action I brought my plans forward to give She Is Fire her first long-distance race this week.

"I wanted to dodge Palawa King if possible.''

She Is Fire has not raced over 720m but won recently over 710m at Albion Park in 42.60 and has been placed twice over that course.

Stop It is well boxed and going exceptionally well but trainer Jason Magri concedes his dog will need to hold a big break over Flash Boom Bang on the back straight if he is to win Saturday's Ladbrokes Racing Club Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.

Stop It has box seven and has had three wins and a placing from four appearances wearing the black rug.

"He is extremely well drawn and is going super and as long as he can clear Ceretti, who has box six, in the run to the first turn, I expect Stop It to be the pacemaker,'' Magri said.

"But Flash Boom Bang's run home to win last week was unbelievable.

"To give Irinka Benji a huge start and run him down in 29.43 is just mind-boggling.

"So if Flash Boom Bang is sitting behind my dog on the back straight Stop It can't win.''

Saturday night's Ladbrokes Sports Bar Masters, a 520m for grades one, two and three, has attracted a well-performed field of seven.

Scott Board, whose son Joshua trains Spring Meteor, one of the main chances, said: "Gee, it's certainly a hot field for a Masters race.

"In Spring Meteor's favour is that he is boxed okay, he has drawn seven and he doesn't mind being out there.

"Spring Meteor likes to get into the middle of the track and he handled box eight beautifully when he won at Goulburn on July 5.''

At Goulburn Spring Metor gave noted strong finisher Taw Commander a start and a beating in a quality 440m contest.

Flash Boom Bang's trainer Jack Smith also has good prospects on Saturday night with Irinka Daniel, who has box three in the New English Stakes, a 520m fifth grade, and with Talk About Class, who will exit box one in the 520m fifth grade Ladbroke It! Stakes.

Irinka Daniel is up against August Bob, who has box two but is better suited when drawn wide.

Talk About Class though is perfectly positioned and with a win and four placings from five box one appearances he has the right credentials for Saturday night's race.

Talk About Class has been placed at each of his past four Wentworth Park outings but meets slightly weaker opposition on Saturday and if he repeats his personal best 520m figures of 29.84 he should win.

Hardest for Talk About Class to beat is likely to be the Garry Frazer-trained First Lady, who has been placed in one of two races a spell, both over the less suitable 401m journey.

But on her night First Lady is highly talented and boasts a best Wentworth Park time of 29.66.
