Cupid's Arrow is tipped to pick up where she left off 10 months ago when she returns to Wentworth Park, her favourite track, on Thursday night.

The Tom Rees-trained bitch has box two in the Follow Redden Photo Video Stakes, a 520m 1-3 wins fifth grade.

An unexpected error occurred.

In her Wentworth Park debut on June 28 last year, Cupid's Arrow, backed from $10 to $6, began fast from box one and posted a slick early split of 5.49 and a blistering 13.70 second section before stopping the clock in a fast 29.49.

She was spelled in July and resumed with a 324m trial up the Richmond straight where she defeated rival Proud Aussie, a winner of 14 races, by a dozen lengths in the handy time of 18.04.

Cupid's Arrow's three Wentworth Park appearances have resulted in two wins and a second, from boxes one and two, so she is well positioned in box two on Thursday night.

Little Linkin, who has become a handy "re-acquisition" for owner-trainer Lakis Michael, won first-up at Wentworth Park last Thursday and is in a similar class 1-3 wins fifth grade Ladbrokes Blackbook Stakes this week.

"I sold Little Linkin in mid-April but her new owner wasn't happy with her so I bought her back,'' Michael said.

"She won for me at Bulli on April 29 and then after a good third at Goulburn on May 2 she won at her first Wentworth Park outing last week."

"While she had seen the track prior to last Thursday, it was the first time Little Linkin had been out of the 520m boxes so I was happy with her winning time of 29.94.

"She is not a lid-pinger but she usually gets away on terms with her rivals so she has a chance again after drawing box three this week.''

James Alarm, a burly 36kg juvenile, will be chasing his fourth win in five starts when he contests Thursday night's Ladrokes Bet Ticker Stakes, another 1-3 wins fifth grade.

At his most recent appearance James Alarm led all the way over 472m at Bulli on May 6, recording a smart 26.44, fastest time of the meeting.

Trainer Chris Arletos said: "While he has not raced at Wentworth Park I gave him a 520m trial there recently and on a wet track he clocked a reasonable 30.20.

"He seemed a bit lost during that trial so the experience should do him a lot of good.

"James Alarm is capable of beginning smartly and because he won't be 20 months old until the end of this month, he has a bright future.''

An unexpected error occurred.

Toughest rival for James Alarm looms as the Debbie Rowe-trained Taw Major, a last start Wentworth Park winner in a smart 29.69.

Taw Major, who has box three on Thursday, had box four when he notched his second win in three Wentworth Park appearaces last Thursday night.

Where's Nanny heat time of 29.65 was only .03sec outside the time standard for Thursday's Ladbrokes Gosford to Wenty final but he is capable of beginning faster than he did in his May 6 qualifying race.

Paw Nelvin began brilliantly to lead throughout in his heat, clocking 29.62, but Where's Nanny was midfield to leave the boxes and hampered slightly at the first turn.

After being second leaving the back straight, Where's Nanny stormed down the outside to win by just over a length.

Trainer Harry Sarkis said: "Where's Nanny is very strong so will be suited by the 520m at Wenty.

"But he usually shows early pace so he can be up close to the early lead on Thursday night.

"Although this will be Where's Nanny's first race in town he knows his way around and will handle Wenty, no trouble at all.''

An unexpected error occurred.
