She is the least experienced in the field, and has won just one small race at Bendigo, but Ginny's Run has the ability to make a successful Wentworth Park debut on Saturday night.
Now owned and trained by Patricia Chaker, Ginny's Run lines up for her eighth race in the 520m Ladbrokes Odds Surge Stakes, a maximum 200 points fifth grade.
An unexpected error occurred.
She resumed from a spell and was having her first start for Chaker, running a distant third over 520m at Richmond on May 28.
In that event Ginny's Run had box eight but was hampered when attempting to reach the rails on the back straight, and Chaker was happy with the run.
She looks better placed on Saturday, as despite having drawn four, she has a vacant box on her outside.
"Braden Finn, who owned the champion stayer Sweet It Is, is a friend of mine and he recommended that I buy Ginny's Run after she won a maiden race at Bendigo in March,'' Chaker said.
"She broke 30sec in a 520m hit-out at Richmond and went extra well when I gave her a trial at Wentworth Park.
"Ginny's Run has a bit of early pace and I'm confident she is city class, in fact I've sold a couple of dogs to make room for her in my kennels.''
Scorching Boy had not previously seen Wentworth Park before running a fast finishing second there in August 2023, and the Wagga-trained dog is suitably positioned for his city return on Saturday night.
Trained by Jess Fothergill, Scorching Boy has box eight in the opening race, the NSW GBOTA Welcome Masters Stakes for grades two and three veterans.
An unexpected error occurred.
In his sole Wentworth Park appearance, Scorching Boy had box four and after being sixth on the back straight and fourth on the home bend, he flashed home to beat all but Super Edition, going under by less than a length.
Scorching Boy has started seven times from box eight, for three wins and three placings.
Fothergill confirmed: "That is where he wants to be drawn. He turned four in December so is probably a couple of lengths below what he was as a younger dog, but he is still going well. He has won two of his past four starts, over 390m at Shepparton and 400m at Dubbo, and when he was runner-up at Wentworth Park he was new to the track so that experience should do him good.''

Ray's Bella was most impressive leading throughout in a 520m fifth grade at her Wentworth Park debut on May 24, and trainer Rod McDonald believes she can notch back-to-back city wins in Saturday night's Ladbrokes Mates Mode Pots Stakes- a 520m maximum 200 points fifth grade.
"She had box three when she won at Wenty last month, but while I would rather see her drawn inside, I think she will handle box seven on Saturday,'' McDonald said.
"Ray's Bella has always seemed to be more confident coming from middle or wide boxes so the draw looks fine. I trialed her over 457m at Temora last Sunday against my wife Rebecca Edenborough's stayer, I'm Sally, and they hit the line locked together. Considering I'm Sally is going well again after a bit of a form lapse I was happy with Ray's Bella's effort.''
Best graded dog at Wentworth Park on Saturday looks to be the Mark Gatt-trained Ritza Duane, who has box five in the Ladbrokes Fast Withdrawals 520m fifth grade.
An unexpected error occurred.
Ritza Duane's past 10 Wentworth Park races have resulted in five wins and four placings and he has clocked slick times of 29.73 and 29.81 in his most recent successes on February 27 and May 15.
None of his rivals on Saturday has been able to match his 29.73 time, and while Ritza Duane has won five races at headquarters, his seven opponents have managed just four wins between them.
Saturday's best bet though, should be Sinaloa Girl, chasing her ninth Wentworth Park win in the GI Heats June 28 Stakes, a 520m fourth and fifth grade.
An unexpected error occurred.
Trained by Hayley Gilbert, the daughter of leading trainer Jodie Lord, Sinaloa Girl is usually a fast beginner who should have no trouble handling her box seven draw.
She clocked the fastest time of the day when wearing the black rug over 350m at Goulburn in June last year, and she has been placed in tougher company in three of her four most recent Wentworth Park appearances.
