I'm Sally has had six wins and six placings over 720m at Wentworth Park but connections believe her kennel mate Ray's Bella (pictured), who has not won beyond 520m, will give her a tough race on Thursday night.

The Rebecca Edenborough-trained I'm Sally has box seven while Ray's Bella, trained by her husband Rod McDonald, has drawn one in the fifth grade Ladbrokes Mates Mode Pots Stakes.

"Ray's Bella's owner was over the moon when she drew box one because in four starts over 720m at WP she has drawn six, seven or eight,'' McDonald said.

"She has been crying out for box one so she gets her chance on Thursday, although Bec's greyhound I'm Sally will be hard to beat.

"We trialled them together last week and I'm Sally beat Ray's Bella by a length.

"But that was what she gained on her kennelmate soon after the start so there is not much between them.''

Trainer Jason Magri believes Canya Sapphire and her kennelmate Robert Keeping can battle out Thursday night's Follow RPV On Blackbook Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.

Canya Sapphire is ideally positioned in box  one while Robert Keeping, whose litter brother Allan Keeping won in a sensational 29.29 for Magri last Saturday night at WP, has drawn eight.

"There is not much between Canya Sapphire and Robert Keeping although I think if Sapphire finds the front quickly she might beat him,'' Magri said.

"Robert Keeping is not badly drawn though because while he doesn't race wide all the way, he can handle box eight okay.

"He won from that draw at WP in April running a flying 29.38.''

Magri is upbeat about the prospects of Market Maverick, who has box three in Thursday's Pbd Ladbrokes Odds Surge 1-3 wins 520m fifth grade.

Market Maverick finished third from box six at his WP debut on September 12 before filling the same placing after drawing box seven at Richmond five days later.

"He has finally drawn near the fence and he is desperate for an inside box,'' Magri declared.

There's an interesting clash in the 520m fifth grade Ladbrokes Sports Bar Stakes with the Sam Sultana-trained Joanne, a slick 29.72 WP winner two starts back, meeting David Smith's up-and-coming Cambo's Ethics.

Joanne is well drawn in box two but Cambo's Ethics should get a clear run to the first turn courtesy of his kennelmate and litter sister Ritzy's Ethics.

Cambo's Ethics has box seven and Ritzy Ethics, who has box six, veered hard left from box rise to the first bend before winning from the same draw at WP last Saturday night.

Cambo's Ethics came from last to win over 400m at Maitland at his most recent appearance, clocking a slick 22.22.

Taw Commander has not won at WP since July but trainer Andrew Rowe believes he can return to the winning list in Thursday's Ladbrokes Quick Multi Masters Stakes over 520m.

"He has box four but he has won four races wearing the blue rug,'' Rowe said.

"And he is down a lot in class, he has been up against some fast younger dogs in his past couple of races and I'm pleased to finally get him back into a Masters race, especially as this is an M2/M3 grade.''

Taw Commander

Taw Commander's kennelmate Taw Galaxy has finished with the tailenders at his past two starts at Dapto and Goulburn but Andrew Rowe believes he has a good chance in Thursday's Ladbrokes Same Race Multi 520m fifth grade.

"Taw Galaxy is going a lot better than it looks on paper because he has just been racing without luck,'' Rowe said.

"But I think he goes better at Wenty than anywhere else, he has had five wins and four placings from 12 starts there.''
