Nangar Archie notched his eighth successive win and maintained his unbeaten record since turning five when he led all the way at Goulburn on Friday.
Trained by Caitlyn Brewer for Sydney businessman Sam Mayer, Nangar Archie's runaway win took his earnings to nearly $102,000, amassed from 32 wins and 35 placings from 92 starts.
Nangar Archie will be six years old in September but shows no signs of slowing down, and has now won 12 of his past 14 racetrack outings.
Along with Boaz, who turns seven this month and has won 31 of 64 races, Nangar Archie is a firm favourite of owner Sam Mayer.
While Mayer would dearly love to eventually have Nangar Archie as a pet in his Sydney home, Caitlyn Brewer is having none of that.
She said: "I've already told Sam that Nangar Archie is never leaving my place.
"He is absolutely everything to me and my family so I warned Sam 'don't even think about getting him when he retires from racing'.''
Nangar Archie's breeder and original owner and trainer Dennis Barnes is not surprised.
Barnes said: "I've been in the game for several decades and bred a lot of good greyhounds, but have not had a dog with a better nature than Nangar Archie.
"He had a few races for me as a young dog and mainly because of his sweet temperament, I didn't really want to sell him.
"But I had a lot of young dogs coming through and simply could not keep him.
"When you breed a lot of greyhounds some are special as far as temperament goes, but Nangar Archie was a stand-out.''
Nangar Archie's next appearance is undecided, with Caitlyn Brewer saying: "Because of his age, I like to space his runs so I am studying what races are available in the next couple of weeks.
"But he will be restricted to short course races, because while he can run 520m he is thriving and winning consistently in sprints so that's where his future will remain.''
