Brax Keeping is a risky beginner but if he nails the start like he did at his most recent Wentworth Park appearance, he should win Thursday night's 520m fifth grade in a romp.

The Courtney Barnes-trained son of 2019 The Brother Fox winner Caitlyn Keeping has box six in heat two of the maximum 200 points series.

And that's the draw he had when he led all the way in a slick personal best 29.68 at Wentworth Park on New Year's Day.

At his only subsequent appearance, Brax Keeping ran very wide on the first turn and had no luck in the latter stages when sixth, again from box six, over 520m at Richmond last Sunday.

None of Brax Keeping's rivals on Thursday has been able to match his fastest Wentworth Park time and while Big Bernie (box one) and Blue Linkin (box three) are the likely pacemakers, the strong finishing Brax Keeping should only need to be "in touch" with them on the back straight to win comfortably.

Vonnie's Power has not raced for six months but her new trainer Patricia Chaker believes her greyhound is ready to win "first up" at Wentworth Park on Thursday night.

Vonnie's Power, who has won four races at Wentworth Park, is the only city winner in heat one of the maximum 200 points fifth grade and with a personal best time of 29.61, she is the only runner to have got under the 30sec mark at the course.

She has not raced since a strong finishing second to Casari at Wentworth Park on July 24 when she was trained by Mark Gatt, for her owner, the trainer's father Frank Gatt.

"Frank believed Vonnie's Power still had some wins in her, so sent her to me about a month ago,'' Patricia Chaker said.

"She is going extra well, and I was very pleased with her 520m trial at Richmond on January 11.

"Vonnie's Power has box six but will relish having a vacant box on her left on Thursday.''

Fabricator showed the benefit of two Wentworth Park 520m trials when he scored a runaway win at his race debut there last Thursday night.

Fabricator has box two in this week's Follow RPV on Facebook 520m fifth grade, after coming from box five to win by seven lengths in a slick 29.84 last Thursday.

That win gave trainer Beau Micallef his fourth success at Wentworth Park, and while Fabricator used a bit of the track last week, Micallef is delighted with the dog's inside draw this week.

"Before last week, I had given Fabricator two 520m trials at Wentworth Park, and he clocked in the low '30s each time, so he improved.

"I wasn't surprised he got better because Fabricator is very young, just 21 months old.

"He definitely wants an inside box, so I'm happy with this week's draw.

"The field is stronger than the lineup Fabricator beat last week, but he just needs to step well to go close to winning again.''

Entertainer jumped smartly but ran off on the first turn and failed to handle his box three draw when seventh on debut at Wentworth Park on January 8.

But he showed his liking for an outside alley when second, from box eight, there last Thursday night.

The Vic Sultana-trained dog was second all the way behind Ritza Law last week and looks well positioned in box six in Thurday's heat one of the maximum 200 points fifth grade series.

Entertainer possesses good early pace and led throughout to win a 400m fifth grade in 22.21, fastest time of the meeting, at Bulli last November.
