Night Agent has finished down the course at his past four Wentworth Park appearances but a huge drop in class could see him back in the winner's circle there on Saturday night.

The Vic Sultana-trained dog has box four in the 520m fifth grade Wentworth Park Encouragement Stakes but goes into the race as the only city winner in the field.

While none of his rivals has won at Wentworth Park, Night Agent has won seven races at headquarters, with his personal best time of 29.67, around five lengths quicker than any of his opponents.

Part-owner Gordon Sciberras said: "I was only just saying to my co-owner Jimmy Podmore that Night Agent is close to winning another race at Wenty.

"When he finished sixth to Taw Major last Saturday he missed the start completely.

"And although instantly checked at his three runs before that, but the dog is still going well.''

Veteran trainer Vic Sultana could land a double as his classy sprinter Black Myth Wave looks the dog to beat in the fourth and fifth grade Get Trackside Stakes over 520m.

Black Myth Wave's fastest Wentworth Park time of 29.50 is superior to the figures of any of his rivals on Saturday and the dog returns to headquarters after campaigning in the group two Bulli Gold Cup and Richmond Derby at his past three starts.

Black Myth Wave was runner-up to Gold Force, who broke the track record in the final, in a heat of the Bulli Cup before beating all but the placegetters behind Cumbria Jack in course record time in a Richmond Derby heat on February 20.

Angelic Angel has not drawn closer to the rails than box three at her past nine starts so trainer Jenny Brown is happy seeing her bitch in box one in Saturday's Sponsor a Race @ Wenty 520m fifth grade.

Angelic Angel followed seven Wentworth Park placings with an all-the-way win from box five in slick 29.59 there on February 14 before being unplaced there and at Bulli in two subsequent races.

Her trainer Jenny Brown said: "Hopefully she hasn't got too used to all those bad boxes she has been getting.

"Angelic Angel has won two of her three starts from box one so she just needs to come out of the boxes like she can.''

Mark Gatt qualified with four of the eight finalists in Saturday's 520m @wentworthparkgreyhounds fifth grade but nominates Ritza Tears, who has box two, as his best chance.

Gatt trains Ritza Tears (box two), Wyndra All Heart (box five), Ritza Ringer (box six) and Ritza Law (box eight).

He said: "Although Ritza Tears is a bit of a centre tracker himself, I think he has the best draw.

"Any one of my four has the ability to win but I think Sparra's (trainer Sam Sultana) dog Take A Break, who has box three, could give Ritza Tears enough room to move in the run to the first corner.''

Former champion jockey Malcolm "Miracle" Johnston should land his second city winner as an owner with Great Chat in Saturday's We Stand With Tasmania 520m fifth grade.

Great Chat had won five of eight provincial appearances before finishing fifth at his Wentworth Park debut on February 19.

Before that race trainer Peter Lagogiane expressed some concern at Great Chat's box one draw and the Llandilo mentor was proved correct.

Great Chat was severely hampered through attempting to shift wide on the first turn and wound up nearly 10 lengths behind the winner, Take A Break.

From box seven on Saturday, Great Chat should be far more comfortable and can win so long as he steps away cleanly, especially ahead of the usually fast jumping Fascinate Samuel, who has box eight.

Great Chat
