Go Lani has won from every draw except box eight but the prolific Wentworth Park winner is particularly well positioned in box seven in Thursday night's top grade 520m event.

As a winner of 11 races at headquarters, Go Lani is the most successful Wentworth Park campaigner in the G3 Racing May 3 Stakes and all but one of her 39 racetrack visits have been to the Glebe circuit.

An unexpected error occurred.

Trainer Mark Gatt said: "I like Go Lani in box seven because she likes to come across the face of the field in the run to the first turn.

"She is raring to go but this is not an easy races with plenty of chances, including two greyhounds I once trained, Ritza Trish in box one and Blue Goose Boy in three.

"They are both going to be hard to beat.''

Trainer Tom Rees considered Winifred Nora good enough to tackle the group one Farrell's Association Cup heats on April 5 so she should go close to winning Thursday's Ladbrokes Bet Ticker Stakes, a 720m zero to three wins mixed event.

An unexpected error occurred.

Winifred Nora was third to the home bend when fifth to I'm Sally in the fastest of the Association Cup heats and since then was a solid finishing second, when a $2.70 favourite, over 622m at Richmond.

Her most intriguing rival is the Charmaine Roberts-trained Kia Keeping, who has led all the way to win her past two Dubbo 516m races by a total of 10 lengths.

But Roberts' partner Shayne Stiff admits Kia Keeping is an unknown quantity over 720m, describing their bitch as a "one pace plugger.''

Stiff said: "Kia Keeping's past two run home time at Dubbo, 14.51 and 14.54, are not bad and she is a very clean winded greyhound.

"But we thought we might as well give her a crack at 720m because she is not quick enough to win over 520m at Wenty.''

Charmaine Roberts also has Noah Keeping in Thursday's Ladbrokes Sports Bar 520m fifth grade but is unsure how that dog will handle box seven.

An unexpected error occurred.

"We have never trained a dog as dumb as Noah Keeping, he doesn't know what box he wants,'' Roberts' partner Shayne Stiff said.

"His fourth from box four at Wentworth Park last Saturday was quite a good run because that was only Noah Keeping's second 520m run in a long while.

"But when we watch him in one race it seems as if he wants an inside alley and the next time it looks like he is better off drawn wide.''

Zipping Ariel should win Thursday's heats of the 520m Maiden Stakes series for trainer Courtney Barnes.

An unexpected error occurred.

Zipping Ariel, who has box six in heat one, was a luckless fourth on debut at Wentworth Park before running an even race when a distant third to boom youngster Destroying there last Thursday.

Anthony Meredith, who, a decade ago trained former top class sprinter and Bathurst Cup winner Mythical Eagle and smart stayer Serisier Street, returns to Wentworth Park on Thursday with litter siblings Smart Style in box one in heat one of the Maiden Stakes and Neat Style in box six in heat two.

An unexpected error occurred.

"I would have liked them to get a bit more experience before heading to Wenty with them but they are crying out for 520m and I have not been able to get a start with them over 515m at my local Gosford track,'' Meredith said.

"They have had a couple of post-to-post slips at Wenty and Neat Style is probably my better prospect on Thursday, but whatever they do on Thursday they should improve upon if they make next week's final.''
