Peter Lagogiane won the 2022 and 2023 Group 3 Ladies Bracelets with French Martini and Pay Call, and believes She's That Girl, his finalist this year, has the potential to emulate their racetrack deeds.
She's That Girl is unbeaten in five Wentworth Park appearances going into Saturday night's $25,000 to the winner Bracelet and looks to have a near-perfect box two draw.
An unexpected error occurred.
French Martini won 15 of 32 starts, including the Group 2 Black Top at The Gardens, where she smashed the track record, and Lagogiane said: "She's That Girl is not up to her class yet but the way she is going she might be on the way to achieving that.''
Wincey Bale, in box one, is a moderate beginner and with Taormina, a fast starter but direct runner in box three, She's That Girl should only need to jump cleanly to win.
None of her rivals on Saturday night has come close to her personal best Wentworth Park figures of 29.23, posted on March 15.
Overflow Beau's heat time of 29.99 for the Group 3 Bob Payne Sprint was bettered by Ayden's Warrior at 29.79, but he had to overcome a severe first turn check to win, while the faster qualifier enjoyed a clear run along the rails from box one.
In this week's final, Ayden's Warrior is awkwardly placed in box seven while Overflow Beau, a luckless minor placegetter in last year's Bob Payne, should only need to get away cleanly to make the pace from box five.
An unexpected error occurred.
Overflow Beau boasts the fastest first split time of 5.43 in the final, so is capable of leading throughout.
His toughest rival could be Blue Goose Boy, a slow beginner but good railer and strong finisher who has box two.
Blue Goose Boy made up ground when second in Ayden's Warrior's heat, and his trainer Caroline Hughes is pleased with his box two draw on Saturday night.
"He is likely to miss the kick but is capable of really taking off down the back straight, and I have a feeling this race could be run to suit Blue Goose Boy,'' Hughes said.
"His owner, Dawn Garrett, sent him to me from Melbourne but when he first arrived Blue Goose Boy was jaded and flat from being transported.
"He didn't race for me until April 17 but has continued to improve and I was really pleased with his heat performance.''
She's That Girl's trainer Peter Lagogiane has strong claims on Saturday night with Unleash Georgia, who has box four in the Ladbrokes Bet Ticket final, and Summer Quinn, in box one in the Ladbrokes Blackbook Stakes.
An unexpected error occurred.
"Unleash Georgia is a little beauty and I now wish I had nominated her for last week's Ladies Bracelet heats,'' Lagogiane said.
"I trialled her over 401m at Richmond on Tuesday and she went the best she has ever gone.
"George Farrugia, who owned the 2017 Golden Easter Egg winner Striker Light, sent Summer Quinn to me from Victoria, and he had a big opinion of her.
"She was a bit of a ratbag when she started racing in NSW, but as she has matured she has settled down and has won three of her past four Wentworth Park starts in fast times.''

Peter Rodgers, who won the 2023 Golden Easter Egg with Simply Limelight, could have a successful night at Wentworth Park on Saturday.
He has Bonus Ethics in box three in the Ladbrokes Sports Bar Stakes, Tyler Fly High (box two) in the Evans & Son Jewellers Stakes and Classic Ethics (box one) in the Where Else But Wenty? Stakes.
Classic Ethics has won his past three grade five races at Wentworth Park from boxes three, six and seven, and Rodgers is hoping the shift to the rails alley can enable his dog to cope with a sharp class rise.
An unexpected error occurred.
"He is ideally drawn and has a big turn foot on the back straight,'' Rodgers said.
"Classic Ethics has not jumped well in his three recent Wentworth Park wins, but did begin smartly one night at Gosford so is capable of getting away okay.
"Tyler Fly High is nearing the end of his career but is going great and was a bit unlucky not to beat Classic Ethics when he chased him home at Wenty on April 26."
"There seems to be a lot of early speed in Tyler Fly High's race on Saturday and that will suit him because he will drop out early and then finish strongly, especially if the pacemakers jam up and then spread out.
"Bonus Ethics is better than her form indicates and although the best she has clocked at Wentworth Park is 30.44, she is capable of running 29.90 with a clear run."
An unexpected error occurred.
"She can get away quickly too and I think she will be hard to beat.''
