Dynamic Gregory has won his past two starts at Dapto from boxes eight and seven but he remains perfectly positioned on the rails at Wentworth Park on Thursday night.
Dynamic Gregory will wear the red rug in the Ladbrokes Mates Mode Pots Stakes, a 520m fifth grade, and trainer Ruth King has described his two recent Dapto wins as "enormous.''
An unexpected error occurred.
King said: "He doesn't seem to mind what draw he has but he is definitely well placed in box one.''
Dynamic Gregory's most recent Wentworth Park win, on May 10 in 30.14, was achieved from the rails alley.

Box one also provides Vonnie's Power with a great chance of notching her fifth Wentworth Park win when she contests Thursday night's Ladbrokes Bet Ticker Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.
When she drew box one at Wentworth Park on November 14, Vonnie's Power began brilliantly and led throughout, posting a flying 29.61, her fastest time at the track.
An unexpected error occurred.
Trainer Mark Gatt said: "Vonnie's Power has had only three races this year but she has been gradually returning to her best form.
"She has had a win and a second from those three starts, all at Wenty, and she is not far off being as good as she was when she ran that 29.61 last year.
"Vonnie's Power may need one more run to be back to that level but she is awfully close to it and she is perfectly positioned on the rails on Thursday.''
Fastest Wentworth Park winner in Thursday's 520m fifth grade Ladbrokes Odds Surge Stakes is Ritza Benji, a new addition to trainer Dale Wright's kennels.
Ritza Benji caused a surprise when he bounced in front from box four and led all the way as a $26 outsider at Wentworth Park last Thursday.
An unexpected error occurred.
He stopped the clock at a personal best 29.54 and none of his rivals on Thursday has matched that time at Wentworth Park.
Dale Wright said: "Ritza Benji pulled up well after his win last week but can't accord to make any mistakes from box five.
"If a dog misses the jump from a middle box at Wenty it can be in a world of trouble.
"But if Ritza Benji comes out like he did last week he should be hard to beat again.
"It's a pity he can't seem to get a rails box, as he has not drawn closer to the fence than box four in his past seven starts.
"Ritza Benji did have box five when he won over 515m at The Gardens in a fast 29.53 in September so if he begins cleanly he has shown he can handle that draw.''
Hardest for Ritza Benji to beat should be Zipping Rhodes, who had no luck from box six when third, beaten seven lengths by Forged Iron in 29.67 last Thursday at Wentworth Park.
Zipping Rhodes was hampered at the first turn and had led all the way from box seven to win in 30.12 at his previous Wentworth Park appearance.
The Courtney Barnes-trained dog uses a bit of the track but is on the improve and should have no trouble handling box one on Thursday.
Magpie Hector has walked out of the boxes when placed in each of two Wentworth Park outings but gets his chance to break through in Thursday's Ladbrokes Blackbook one win 520m fifth grade.
Magpie Hector
Trainer Jack Smith considered Magpie Hector good enough to tackle the group one Ladbrokes Vic Peters Classic heats on June 28 and the dog was far from disgraced in finishing third, beaten seven lengths in 29.67, behind Destroying and Neo Devere.
Magpie Hector had recorded a personal best Wentworth Park time of 29.73 when a strong finishing second to Intrepid Eagle in his debut at headquarters on June 19 and should relish having only five rivals to negotiate on Thursday night.
An unexpected error occurred.
Thursday's sole 720m event is the Farrell's 4x2 fifth grade, where Dynamic Gregory's trainer Ruth King is tipped to win with Suribachi, who clocked a fast 41.74 scoring easily over the Wentworth Park long-distance trip on June 28.
Suribachi is a good railer so is not well positioned in box six but she overcame box five to win last week.
"I saved her for another Thursday night meeting to preserve her fifth grade status,'' Ruth King said.
