Canya Handle It ran home in a moderate 11.91 when he won in a flying 29.53 at Wentworth Park last Saturday night but trainer Joe McFadyen is satisfied with that so long as his dog keep posting sizzling early sections.

Once regarded as doubtful at running a strong 520m, Canya Handle It will be chasing his fifth WP win when he exits box three in Thursday night's Wenty Leagues fifth grade.

None of Canya Handle It's seven rivals has won more than two races at WP although Dennis Keeping (box one) and Ronaldo Vella (box four) have recorded 29.55, just .03sec outside the best figures recorded by McFadyen's speedster.

"I usually like Canya Handle It to have a seven day turnaround but because I wanted to maximise his fifth grades in town I nominated him for Thursday night,'' McFadyen said.

"He certainly doesn't seem to have taken any harm from Saturday's win as on Tuesday morning he was bouncing around so much he looked ready to go around again that night.

"Canya Handle It ran home in 11.91 last Saturday and while that is only ordinary, I'm satisfied with that so long as he keeps clocking second and third splits of 13.55 and 17.62 like he did then.

"He looks well placed on Thursday although I have a healthy respect for Jason Magri's dog Dennis Keeping, who has drawn the rails.''

Trainer David Smith describes Cha Cha Ethics as a "50-50" beginner but gives her a chance in Thursday night's Follow RPV Race Images 520m fifth grade providing she comes out cleanly.

Cha Cha Ethics went down on her nose when she jumped from box six at WP last Saturday night and came from seventh at the first turn and sixth on the back straight to finish third.

She was beaten five lengths in 29.77 and has drawn the six box again.

"I was really happy with that run so she can win on Thursday if she gets away well,'' Smith said.

Smith was also encouraged by Happy Ethics' second placing at Maitland on Monday as a pipe opener for Thursday's 520m WP Encouragement fifth grade.

"Happy Ethics has been unplaced in two WP races but her second at Maitland was her best recent performance,'' Smith said.

"Although she was beaten nearly five lengths in her 450m race, the winner clocked a very fast 24.90 so Happy Ethics ran a very respectable 25.23 getting beaten.''

Thursday's 720m event. the gapnsw.com.au fifth grade, is considered a match between Joanne (box one) and Nangar Polly (box two).

But David Smith has warned punters not to under-estimate his bitch Glitzy Ethics, who has box six.

Glitzy Ethics, an older half-sister to Happy Ethics, was fourth to group one winner Mepunga Lara in a top grade 715m race at The Gardens on May 1, just under three lengths behind runner-up Joanne, who had made the pace.

After being slowly away from box six, Glitzy Ethics was last at the first turn and finished powerfully to beat all but the placegetters.

"Her run at The Gardens was terrific and she is already a 720m winner at WP,'' Smith said.

"Don't forget Glitzy Ethics can be something of a giant-killer, because she was sent out at $101 when she won over 520m at WP in March.''

Husband-and-wife training team of Todd and Courtney Barnes landed four winners at WP on Saturday night and have four strong chances on Thursday.

Todd has Magic Maiden winner Pound Keeping chasing her fifth win in six WP appearances from box one in race one where Courtney's strong finisher Zipping Bilpin is well positioned in box three.

Todd's Money Keeping will be all the rage for race nine after winning her past two WP outings by over nine lengths and clocking 29.55 on Saturday, from box seven, her draw this week.

Courtney's Zipping Violet led to the home turn when third to Pound Keeping in a slick 29.63 on Saturday and should be the pacemaker again in Thursday's 10th race, which looks to be an easier assignment.
