MDC Race Night Special On The Track As Well

It will be the biggest night on a NSW greyhound racetrack in the history of the sport when the nostalgic curtain falls on Wentworth Park after 94 years. But that final race meeting on October 16 will also be one of the best nights of racing headquarters has ever seen.

The final of the Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase will not only be the show stopper, but also be the last race ever run at the Glebe circuit with someone walking out of Wenty an instant millionaire. But, the supporting card this year is also a little different.

Following extensive industry consultation, Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) has this year decided to add a little Olympic flavour to the night, with Silver and Bronze consolations of the Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase added to the program.

The Silver Final will carry Group 3 prizemoney with the winner receiving $30,000 and be for greyhounds which finished second in the semi-finals on October 9.

The Bronze Final will carry Listed prizemoney with the winner receiving $15,000 and be for greyhounds which finished third in the semi-finals the previous Friday.

On what will be a star-studded night on the loam, other feature events on the program include:
·       Master Meteor Final worth $50,000 to the winner.
·       Sydney Cup Final worth $50,000 to the winner.
·       MDC Maiden Final worth $15,000 to the winner.
·       Young Star Final worth $30,000 to the winner.
·       Young Star Consolation worth $10,000 to the winner.
