Nangar Lady will be a red hot favourite to notch her sixth Wentworth Park win in five weeks when she exits box one in Thursday night's Follow RPV Race Images Stakes.
The Jodie Lord-trained flyer looks well placed in the 520m fifth grade as while she has won five races at the track, her six rivals have managed only a combined two Wentworth Park wins.
"Nangar Lady was a moderate beginner early in her career but she has jumped fast in each of her five straight Wentworth Park win since mid-October and she continues to be strong at the end of 520m,'' said Andy Lord, whose wife Jodie trains the exciting speedster.
"Her five wins have been from boxes two, three, five, seven and eight but while I'm no fan of box one at Wenty she should win again.''
The Jodie Lord-trained Lucky Blue Book finished sixth at her only Wentworth Park appearance but had no luck in that race and looks the greyhound to beat in Thursday's Ladbrokes Racing Club Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.
Andy Lord said: "Lucky Blue Book had a couple of setbacks early in her career but is racing with confidence now and won her last start, over 440m at Goulburn on November 15, in 24.53, fastest time of the day.
"And while she finished down the course at Wentworth Park on November 7 she has trialled 29.60 there so she can certainly handle the track.''
Ashley Dwyer, whose bitch Pop's Star was a solid second behind Calla Otis in 29.80 at her Wentworth Park debut last Thursday night, has box one against Lucky Blue Book.
"Pop's Star trialled 30.28 at Wentworth Park a week before she ran second there last week,'' Dwyer said.
"She is no world beater but improved last Thursday as she clocked 30.01 getting beaten.
"Just the same, I doubt she can beat Lucky Blue Book.''
The Jodie and Andy Lord combination also have strong chances on Thursday with Ayden's Warrior in box two in the The Lids Fly On Ladbrokes Live Stakes, Serial Offender (box one, Ladbrokes Sports Bar Stakes) and Law Book (box one, Ladbrokes Hosted Pots Stakes).
Andy Lord said: "Boxes don't seem to matter much to Ayden's Warrior as he has won his past two at Wentworth Park from boxes six and five but the two alley should suit him because he does look for the fence.
"Serial Offender is hit or miss at the start so his prospects depend on how he gets away.
"Law Book has only been placed twice from her past five Wentworth Park appearances but she has the ability and has clocked 29.53 there.
"We have kept her fresh since her last start sixth on November 9 in the hope she can be up near the early lead and repeat her best Wenty time.''
Thursday's best bet should be Overflow Jill, who has box two in the Equalizer @ Stud Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.
Overflow Jill did not begin with her usual dash at Wentworth Park on Saturday but she still managed to finish second behind Hooked On Fame, who had jumped brilliantly.
Overflow Jill looks well placed in Thursday's race as she has won nine races at Wentworth Park with her seven opponents' tally at headquarters totalling just six victories.
Trainer Kerry Drynan's pair Lady Divine (box eight) and Somebody Like Me (box five) will dominate betting on Thursday's grade three Masters Stakes.
Lady Divine, a winner of eight races at Wentworth Park, is likely to be sent out a warm favourite but Somebody Like Me should come home too strongly providing he secures a clear passage behind his kennelmate on the back straight.
Lady Divine is expected to be the pacemaker but Somebody Like Me has been displaying greater strength at the finish of his recent Wentworth Park races.
