Foxtrot Ethics will be chasing her third win in eight days when she tackles Thursday night's second heat of the Maximum 200 Points bitches fifth grade series at Wentworth Park.
After being "stuck" on 99 winners for much of 2025, her trainer David Smith is enjoying a successful streak, with his three winners at Maitland on Monday taking him to 113 successes this year.
An unexpected error occurred.
Among Smith's trio of Maitland winners was Foxtrot Ethics, who came from box five to win over 400m in a flying 22.30.
That victory came just four days after she led throughout at her Wentworth Park debut last Thursday, winning easily in a smart 29.82.
"She pulled up well after Monday's Maitland win and backing up on Thursday won't be a problem for her,'' Smith said.
"My 14-year-old son Cooper is all over every aspect of greyhound racing statistics, and he confirmed we had notched 113 winners for the year at Maitland.
"Foxtrot Ethics should be hard to beat again, but she would be better suited drawn closer to the rails as box eight is not ideal for her.''
Smith has a busy night ahead as he also has Looking Pristine with strong claims in heat one of the bitches' series, Prim And Pretty in heat three and Reggae Ethics in the Farrell's 4x2 520m fifth grade.
Main stumbling block in Foxtrot Ethics' bid to win her third race in eight days looks to be the Peter Sims-trained Tyketto, who has box seven.
Tyketto raced wide from box two when a tiring third to the unbeaten She's Fearless at Wentworth Park last Thursday and trainer Peter Sims considers her suitably drawn this week.
"She possesses early speed and while she has some ability I don't think she has made full use of her talent yet,'' Sims said.
Sims won at Wentworth Park last Thursday with Gold Revolver who ran down his kennelmate Spiralling and that pair will go around again this week.
Gold Revolver has box two in the Ladbrokes Same Race Multi 520m fifth grade while Spiralling will exit box two in the Farrell's 4x2 fifth grade over the same trip.
"I was surprised Gold Revolver ran him down last week because Spiralling is strong, I think he will get 600m,'' Sims said.
"But maybe he is just taking a while to get used to the track.
"Before they raced last week, Gold Revolver and Spiralling had one 520m trial at Wentworth Park and Gold Revolver won narrowly in 29.94.''
Sims concedes Gold Revolver faces stiff opposition on Thursday from the Mark Gatt-trained Forged Iron, who is ideally positioned in box eight and is chasing his fourth successive Wentworth Park win.
Forged Iron won in 29.67 at Wentworth Park on July 3 and in 29.73 last Saturday night but none of his opponents on Thursday have matched those figures.
Early in his career, Forged Iron tended to fade at the end of 520m but he has acquired stamina in recent weeks, winning his two most recent races from wide draws at Wentworth Park.
With Zipping Chetty, a slow beginner and keen railer in box seven, Forged Iron looks set to get a clear run from the boxes to the crucial first turn.

Nola Keeping, who has had five wins and four placings from nine starts at the provincials, makes her Wentworth Park debut in Thursday's Mark Hughes Foundation fourth and fifth grade over 520m.
An unexpected error occurred.
Shayne Stiff, whose partner Charmaine Roberts trains Nola Keeping, said: "Our bitch is well drawn in box one and trialled nicely at Wentworth Park recently.
"But she has the job ahead of her because due to her good country form, she is up against greyhounds that have won two, three and even five races at Wenty.
"Nola Keeping clocked 30.05 in her trial at Wentworth Park after running early splits of 5.55 and 14.18.
"However she will need to make full use of box one to beat the likes of Summer Quinn and Raging Saige.''
Winifred Nora has been placed in just one of her four appearances from box eight but the handy stayer should have too much class for her rivals in the 720m Ladbrokes Mates Mode Pots fifth grade.
An unexpected error occurred.
She has won two of her four Wentworth Park 720m outings and has been placed twice in four recent appearances in tougher 710m races at Brisbane's Lafbrokes Q2 Parklands circuit.
